    SPRUCE ST. SESSIONS

Every Wednesday afternoon VTLBC gets together to skate and we invites anyone who may be in the area to join. As the weather has gotten warmer we are seeing more and more talented skaters coming out of the Burlington, VT college scene. Its really great to see people out pushing the sport and wearing the proper safety equipment! Here are some pictures taken by VTLBC rider Will Deming a couple weeks back. Enjoy!

Matt K’s Magic Pucks: A Raw Run

Last summer Matt K and Dmitri came to visit and we took them to one of our gnarliest mountain passes, that we have dubbed “The Crag”. The Crag is covered in cracks(some of wich are big enough to eat a wheel), frost heaves that can send you air-born, hairpins, a chicane, invisible waves, speeds of 50+mph, and a steady traffic flow. Not only did we get in some great runs, we learned that Matt either has magic pucks or is a Jedi knight @ 1:38, random debris can appear in the road between runs @ 3:18, and we still love going fast. Enjoy!

    A YEAR AGO YESTERDAY:

A bunch of the crew from Team Quebec came to visit and we had a rad time! Lots of skating, the most sweeping I’ve seen skaters do without complaining and a lot of laughs. last year we posted an edit by Kevin Lefrank(Kebbek,TQ). This year im posting one from our buddy Max Benoit. Both edits are killer, Enjoy!

    Spring CleaningWill & Jake’s quiver minus 2
Here at VTLBC we like variety in our rides. Every board is fun in its own way and riding a board you may not be comfortable on, will only increase your skills. So get out there and ride some ridiculously short/long/stiff/flexy/loose board you never thought you would like. Ride it for a day, tweak it to how you like and try to master something on it you never thought possible. You may find that its not the board that makes the skater its the style you emphasize with the board thats important. Riding different setups will allow you to be a more balanced skater and you will learn to control what you are riding and no let the board control you. Now that being said, we aren’t saying that you should take your loosest/flexy board to the top of your biggest hill and bomb it first run. We are just saying that riding different setups will allow you to feel and react better to whats going on below you and not just assume the board is going to do what you want. Being agile and aware of your setup(and how it works) could help you out of some sketchy situations in the future and probably save you some pain. There are a lot of boards out there, don’t assume the one that works for your buddy will work for you. Ride as many boards as you can and find what really works for YOU!

AUTUMN BOMB II PIPELINE FREERIDE VIDEO

Unfortunately Projection Films was not able to attend the second day of our event this year. After having spent the entire first day standing in the rain and having one of their cameras fail to turn on the following morning, they decided it was best to let the GoPros capture what they could. Here is a short video they put together with the footage we managed to get and some still shots taken by Ellen Post. Despite the rainy conditions everyone seemed to have a blast skating the hill and we got to witness a great group of local groms busting out some big moves. Thanks again to all of our sponsors and athletes who came out, we couldn’t do it without you!

    IT’S HERE!!!

    ZIG-ZAGZ & ZIP-LINEZ

VTLBC teamed up with Projection Films for a hike in the VT wilderness to test out their cable camera on a really steep incline. Thankfully mother nature played along and we got in a great day of skating on a closed road with some of our favorite switchbacks. The guys got some really killer shots, we had a lot of fun, and now you get to see it!

Don’t forget to show your friends!

    NEW VIDEO DROPPING REAL SOON!
We are jumping up and down in anticipation of the final version of this video! It was a beautiful fall day just after the first snow. One of our favorite VT runs with some of the most technical turns we have found, on an incredibly steep grade, with gnarly pave, closed for the winter. This year we were lucky enough to have mother nature cooperate and we got some great skating and filming in.
It was a chilly bluebird day in the notch. The VTLBC along with special guest Pascal “Rockin’ Rookie” Jean(Kebbek,ABEC11) and The Projection Films crew with zip-line camera in tow, set off for a 3 mile uphill hike to the 4 switchbacks at the top of the mountain. What we captured here will be featured in our latest video dubbed: Zig-Zagz & Zip-Linez. Keep your eyes pealed for the footage to drop in the next few days!! We hope you are as excited as we are!  NEW VIDEO DROPPING REAL SOON!
